Our History

In the upper village of San Pedro lies the first complete elementary school established some time in 1968. The name given was the Laguna Resettlement Community School located at Brgy. United Bayanihan. Barangay UB as it’s now popularly called is one of the 19 barangays in the municipality of San Pedro. It can be easily reached by all means of public transport, the dominant of which are the public jeepneys. Travel about 15 to 20 minutes from the town proper stretching approximately about 6 to 7 kilometers passing through a 2 – way concrete road. Other means of transportation include cars, vans, buses, tricycles and motorcycles.
In 1966, the Carmona Resettlement Project took off which displaced most families living along the edges of the Philippine National Railroad track. There were a total of 6,500 households with an average number of 5 persons per family, two of whom were of school ages either in the elementary or secondary. These families were relocated in the upper villages of San Pedro, one of which was Barangay United.
The proximity to the nearest school posed new problem to the newly created community population. This prompted the parents and the community leaders to request for the creation of a barangay high school. By virtue of the Barangay High School Act, a secondary school was established in 1970. High school students started to attend classes at the existing Laguna Resettlement Community School.
LRCS has a total area of 8,846 sq.m. In 1978, a perimeter fence was built to separate the secondary school from the elementary. It was move to contain both elementary and secondary students to a more specific area. The secondary school was headed then by Mrs. Bartolomea E. Pedron as the first school principal. In 1972, by virtue of Republic Act 6026, the secondary school was transferred to another barangay named Langgam and gave birth to San Pedro Relocation Center
